Lab

New for the Spring 2022 semester, we are experimenting with a digital music lab for grades 3 - 8.

Student focus will be on:

• Instrumental genres of music

• Focused & Intentional listening

• Understanding of the elements of music

• Basic composition

Keyboards?

While not everyone can sing or play an instrument, all students want the opportunity to play around and make fun sounds.

Music lab gives our students the chance to create digital songs, but in a step-by-step, structured method. These midi controllers plug in directly to each student’s Chromebook and all projects are saved to the cloud.

Hands on

Learning about music without ever experiencing how to actually create music is like learning to read by simply singing the ‘ABCs’. Are we going to create the Top-40 hit or discover this generation’s Mozart? Probably not.

But we sure will have a lot of fun trying to find out.
