Academics

MCA offers rigorous academics that emphasize critical thinking skills. Our small class sizes allow us to have maximum impact on a student’s individual development, both academically and spiritually. Our Christian faith shapes our curriculum while also meeting state standards. Our students attend a weekly chapel service and also participate in Family Groups where they receive mentoring from older students and provide mentoring for younger ones, all while serving the school & community in an area of interest.

 

Our History

Michiana Christian Academy (formerly Michiana Christian School) was founded in 1976 in South Bend, Indiana as a ministry of area Churches of Christ/Christian Churches desired to provide a Christ-centered education for young individuals in the community. MCA continues today primarily as a mission of the Deer Run Church of Christ (DRCC), a loving and dedicated church family, along with supportive churches and invested members of the community.

Accreditation

MCA is Freeway Accredited by the Indiana State Department of Education. We also participate in the Indiana Choice Scholarship voucher program.
