Covid 19 Information

We Prioritize In-Person Learning.

The learning loss that occurred during the pandemic is profound. Multiple studies show that virtual learning is not effective. At MCA, our goal is to offer a supportive learning environment that promotes safety so that we can maintain in-person learning as much as possible.

Face Masks

As of March 14, 2022 our School Board as made masking in the building optional for all staff and students.

This policy is re-evaluated regularly by the board and looks to CDC guidelines and the local positivity rate for direction on if a mask mandate will need to be re-implemented.

Additional Precautions

We have air purifiers for each classroom and the cafeteria. Students will be social-distanced at least 3-feet wherever possible and we avoid mixing classes as much as possible. During lunch, students are separated by at least 3 feet and plexiglass dividers are in place to limit the spread of respiratory droplets. We also offer water-bottle filling stations. The building will be cleaned with products approved to kill the COVID-19 virus.
